Meet the Candidate for the Mt Healthy School Board

It all begins with an idea. Therefore, be yourself, do your best and consistently be persistent with a purpose. This is the reason I am running for the Mt Healthy School Board. To be the change agent and ensure our kids receive the quality education they deserve despite the zip code they may live in.

About
Douglas Frazier

.Hello fellow Colerain Township and Mt. Healthy School District residents.  My name is Douglas Frazier and I have lived in the community for 25 years.

I am running for the Mt. Healthy School Board because I am deeply committed to the success of our students, the strength of our schools, and the future of our community. My diverse background in public service, education, and leadership has prepared me to bring a unique and valuable perspective to the board.

As a Gulf War Veteran, I have served my country with honor, and I understand the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—values that are essential in both education and leadership.

Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Villanova University, which have provided me with a well-rounded education and a deep understanding of governance, policy, and organizational management—skills that will allow me to make informed, strategic decisions on behalf of our students, teachers, and families.

As a recently retired Cincinnati Police Sergeant, I have firsthand experience in building community relationships, ensuring safety, and fostering positive environments. I recognize the vital role that safe and supportive schools play in student success, and I am dedicated to working collaboratively with educators, parents, and stakeholders to create the best possible learning environment.

If elected, I will advocate for strong academic programs, responsible budgeting, school safety, and expanded opportunities for all students.

My experience in public service, leadership, and education has prepared me to serve our schools with integrity, dedication, and a focus on student success.

Together, we can ensure that Mt. Healthy City Schools provide a high-quality education that empowers our students to achieve their fullest potential. I would be honored to have your support.

What we care about:

  • Student Achievement & Academic Excellence

    • Focus on improving educational outcomes through curriculum oversite, early literacy, career-readiness, and equitable access to resources.

  • Fiscal Transparency & Responsible Budgeting

    • Ensure taxpayer dollars are used wisely by overseeing budgets, identifying waste, and advocating for financially sustainable decisions.

  • Community Engagement & Accountability

    • Commit to listening to parents, teachers, and community voices while maintaining transparency and ethical governance.

  • The board sets academic standards and polices that directly impact student success. A strong candidate champions measurable improvement in reading, math, and graduation rates.

  • School boards control millions in public funds. Candidates must demonstrate understanding of budgets, levies, and how to make financially responsible choices-especially in districts facing deficits.

  • Schools thrive when the board is responsive and collaborative. A good candidate is accessible, attends public meetings, and makes decisions that reflect community values and student needs.
